2010 GMC Canyon 5.3L ~ 5k OCI to 70k

Fram Ultra XG10575 off / on

2005 Subaru Baja 2.5L NA (80,522 original miles)

Out -- Super Tech Synthetic 5W30 & ST Filter (4021 miles OCI)
In -- Pennzoil High Mileage 5W30 & ST Filter

Rotated tires also!!

Not really a full change but I changed the filter (w/cheapest Fram) and refilled my GF 2003 Beetle. Before it was burning through >1qt a week of 5w-30. Since mixing in 20w-50 consumption has gone way down. Not sure what mix % I'll go for in Dec->Feb due to low temps here but I think I might actually keep this POS, I mean, lovely piece of German engineering going till next inspection.
Not sure what the mileage on the bug is off the top of my head. 120-something-k or maybe 130-something-k.

Friend's 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe with 2.0 Turbo

It only weighs a hair over 2000lbs which helps, but it's no race car. It's not a car for the masses to be sure, but us quirky folks really like them.

And I thought changing out the factory fill in our 2017 2.3 EB Explorer at 2,000 miles was considered "too soon" by many fellow BITOG members

. In all honesty that 2,000 mile FF change was the longest I've gone in over 40 years

. How was changing the oil in your Tahoe with all that open space and no underside cladding to fight with

When the miles get high and looses even more power you can turn it into a gas powered sewing machine and make the Mrs. Happy!

+1 As long as a car runs the speed limit, what difference does it make?

Five quarts of Mobil I AFE 0W-20 and Denso YZZD1 oil filter. Next service spring of 18. I was about ready to add new oil to crankcase when PHN (postherpetic neuralgia = pain) started up and all movement stopped until I could move again. Had a bad case of shingles eighteen years ago which left me with permanently damaged nerves around my right waist. If you haven't had the shingles vaccination yet, do so soon. Most individuals come through a shingles attack with no lasting pain, but about twenty percent are left with permanently damaged nerves. These attacks are very painful, some of them so severe I lose consciousness when the entire area lights up. It's just like a brilliant light flooding the brain and then so long reality.
