Post your latest oil change

00 Toyota Celica GTS
Out: Peak conventional 5w30 / Royal Purple filter (been on for almost 3 years, 10k mi and two oil changes)

In: Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 / Royal Purple filter

2004 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 144709 vehicle miles.

Out: 5 qt. Pennzoil Conventional 5w30; MC FL820S (144709-141521=3188 miles on oil and filter)
Oil just dark not super black. Cut the filter, no issues. Pleat spacing uneven near splice but no tears. Dirt nicely suspended in the oil. No metallic pieces in the inlet side of the filter.

In: 4 qts Shell Rotella T 15W40 + 1 qt Marvel Mystery Oil. MC FL820S. Replaced the drain plug. "O" ring cut and weaping.

This will be last fill on an engine cleanup unless the MMO loosens more dirt or varnish. I have not decided how long to run this combo. Any input from the members?

Didn't eliminate it. Very muted, though, compared to everything else I've used. I'm happy thus far. I'm sure there are slappers out there, that will not be cured with any oil. Just the nature of the beast.

dumped;

Pennzoil Platinum Euro LX 0w30 & Fram Ultra 3506 filter after just ~1000 miles due to crazy oil pressure fluctuations, and gauge needle 'flutter/twitching' at hot idle.

installed;

4 liters of Motul 300V Trophy 0W-40, and 2 liters of Motul 300V High RPM 0W-20, with a Mobil 1 M1-206 filter.

The hot idle stays a little higher than the Pennzoil Platinum Euro stuff, and the gauge needle is ROCK STEADY at hot (or ANY temp) idle now.

I guess my engine's clearances/bearings just do NOT 'like' the GTL base stocks, despite the supposed 3.5 HTHSV of the Pennzoil Platinum Euro LX 0w30??
(That, or this stuff just sheared down to a 2.8 or less HTHSV within 500 miles?!?!? OLD style, shear prone, VIIs used possibly to get that 204 V.I.?)

After 12 years of oil changes, my Blitz oil change container started to fall apart.

The next oil change I do will be with a new Blitz oil change container.

I think Blitz went belly-up. It is now Flo-tool.

Out: 5.5 quarts of Quaker State Defy 10w30, Purolator Classic filter, 3.5k miles

In: 5.5 quarts of Pennzoil Gold 5w30 Synthetic Blend, Subaru OEM H6 filter

This will be my first sample off to Blackstone too. Probably could have gone a lot longer, it was still pretty light colored.

The outflowing old oil (Castrol Magnatec 5W40 C3) had some remaining additives, because its color was dark-brownish and not black. It's a good news. The bad thing: some sludge were at the bottom of the warm waste oil container. The semi-synthetic / dino was not a perfect choice (Castrol Magnatec 10W40) and running for 13K miles by the previous owner.
But anyway: the 3rd cleaning cycle has been started by full-synthetic oil up to max 5-6K miles OCI.
