Post your latest oil change

Just acquired 2004 VW Beetle Convertible - 50,600 miles, for the wife. Will be changing either today or this Sunday, using:

Castrol Edge 0W-40 European Formula
Mann W719/30 filter

Paul

2002 Ford Focus 2.0 zetec 195k

out: Mobil 5000 10w-30 and generic filter

in: Shell synthetic 5w-20, motorcraft fl400s filter

I'll take this oil and filter 15k and sleep easy every night.

2008 Jeep Wrangler 3.8, 99,650 miles, Mobil 1 EP 5w30 and Fram Ultraguard XG3600. This is the third OCI with this combo. The oil eating 3.8 doesn't eat as much with this oil. My OCI's are between 5k and 6k miles. 6k is as long as it can go with the warranty, or I'd run quite a bit longer.

insane OCI I Am on. Originally planned on going 7k on a current 5w-30 pour and fill with Valvoline GP IV 5w-30 FULLY (borrowed from EM) synthetic. I had no plans on topping off with anything cause it used very little up to 8k ish I Want to surmise. PYB 10-30 for TOPPING OFF of simply 1 quart in a now 9k OCI!! My engine is in heaven, I kid seldom!! RIght now I got my list narrowed down to PP 0w-20 (only if I Can find it readily), QS UD (0 to 5w-30) Mobil 1 (0-20 EP up to 0/5 w 30) and maybe throw in a German Castrol or Castrol Edge with what I Call those AC/DC (borrowed from the band) certs, you know the ones I mean?!?!

A Merry Xmas oil change.

2001 Avalon - out SOPUS mix (T6, PHM, FS) and QS Filter

In: Havoline, 1/2 can Oil Saver, QS Filter

Got the jug of Havoline for 8.00, AR, from Mills Fleet Farm

2002 Lincoln Continental with 68,650 miles.

Out: Valvoline White Bottle 5w-20 w/Fram UG XG2 filter. 3K mi/5 months on oil & filter.

In: PP 5w-30 with FRAM UG XG2. Shooting for July/August and 4K-5K miles.

I was surprised at how heavy this old XG2 filter is so far. It's 2X to 3X the weight of a new one, and most of the easy oil has drained off. The last cycle with a PP1 filter weighed no differently used vs. new...though that was after 2 weeks draining in the hot summer sun. With rebates, this PP oil is cheaper than what I paid for the VWB.

2002 Hyundai Elantra 179,000 miles

Out: VWB 10W-30, Fram HM filter (3500 miles OCI)
In: MaxLife 10W-30, OEM filter

There was some leaking (3/4 quart after 2700 miles), which upon further inspection seemed to come from not having the filter on tight enough. Hopefully there won't be any leaks this time around so that I don't have to replace a gasket.

2014 Dodge Durango 40,831 miles

6,031 miles for this OCI.

Out: Trop-Artic 5w20 / Mopar filter

In: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 / Napa Gold Filter

I got the PUP with the Pennzoil make the switch program. I'll get a UOA on the T/A and then another UOA after this run of PUP. Curious to see how the T/A performed. I plan on taking the PUP to at least 7k miles.

03 Ford Taurus 3.0 24v DOHC QSUD MC FL820s filter will run 5k oci per OM
14 Chevy Traverse 1lt 3.6 Free AC Delco Synblend and AC Delco PF63 filter from dealership. will run about 5500-6000 mile or OLM 20% which is about the same. Then will switch to Mobil 1 5w30 for next 5 changes, Stocked up at Sams Club and will continue with AC Delco Filter

13 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Titanium Hatch

Out: Mobil 1 5W30/NAPA Platinum
In: Napa Syn 5W30/NAPA Platinum

Changing after 6k because of prior oil contamination. OEM recommends 5W20, I run 5W30. Silly Ford, you don't run 10k between semi-syn oil changes. I knew better but stuck to the schedule just to confirm that it's not a great idea.

Being a service advisor for a local indie shop, I get cost from every parts house on the street. Napa full syn is $3.40 a pop and you just can't beat that for rebadged Valvoline Synpower.
