Dont know how many miles were on the outgoing load, but guessing from the sticker the garage left in it calling for a change at 160,600mi they were probably running 5k intervals.
Also, installed new oil cooler hoses. Used the Dorman "HD" set since I won't pay Ford $180 for the OE set on a old interceptor.

This car ran with a stuck open thermostat for about a year, including all last winter. Combine that with 90% short trip usage (less than 6 miles) and you have some pretty nasty less than 3000 mile dino that reeked of fuel. I really should have changed the oil when I fixed the thermostat a few months back - I thought the summer heat would burn off some of the fuel, but it didn't appear that it did. I'll try and go longer on this next run, especially with the semi-synthetic MaxLife.
 
Just got through Kitacam's 1st full OCI with me...and its 1st OCI with synthetic.

@ 106k miles....
5,600 miles from "F" to "L" on the dipstick with PP/5w-30 + Pure1 filter...without adding any oil.
OC was PP/5w-30 and K+N filter...

- in Mag1 conventional 5w20 and cheap oreillys filter (they were part of the oil change special)

will cut the filter apart this weekend just for kicks.

Ran a short 1500 mile oci due to replacement of gaskets before changing the oil. Will run this one out a little ways then it's back to QSUD
