My son changed his oil today, here at my garage in his 91 Ranger 3.0. Truck now has 345K, all on M1 oils with 10-14K OCIs.

Drained M1 10-30HM

Put in M1 5-30HM

MC filter.

MC 5w20 semi-syn, MC FL400S on the 2006 Taurus - 145k on the unit, 5k on the PYB that was in it before

Wal-Mart was out of the PYB jugs but I'm not crying about having MC as my second choice. Not having the FL400S would have been the deal breaker.

Notes: Was not using significant oil with Delo400LE CJ/SM, though viscosity was suboptimal (thickish) in normal temps. Delo got dirty fast - came out opaque, dark mahogany brown. b) Used 1/4 litre in 1 week of the PennZ HM - maybe it will settle down. Car appears to run well with it - snappy and racous. Wife reports no improvement over the Delo 400LE CJ/SM.
