Post your latest oil change

Did the first oil change on our 2020 Honda Odyssey. Put in Mobil 1 AFE 0W-20 (got a good price on Amazon for a 6qt box) and a Honda filter.

Curiosity is getting the best of me why did you switch from 0W-20 to 10W-30?

I bought the Valvoline 10w 30 conventional on clearance at the local Advance Auto a few days ago. It was priced $5.75 on shelf but rang up 5 cents. Manager said he could not sell it for 5 cents but said he could sell it to me for $2 plus tax. This Accord has approx. 236,000 miles so I use whatever I can get cheap in it.

A sound reason in my book.

Does yours have the ZF 9-speed or the Honda 10 speed? How do you like it so far? I've heard some reports of rough/notchy shifts and trans replacements under warranty. On topic - as of 2 weeks ago:

OUT: Mobil 1 Adv. FS 5W-20 (6 months/5,259 miles old) and Mobil 1 EP filter (11 months/10,959 miles old).

After keeping this "1 year guaranteed protection" filter on for 2 OCIs to test M1's claim, the oil was significantly darker than usual and I won't be repeating the experiment. I will be using a less expensive, fresh filter with every OC from now on.

IN: "Mutt" oil blend to use up all the leftover M1 that I had around from previous OCs - 2qt year-old M1 FS 5W-20, 1qt year-old M1 FS 5W-20 "High Mileage", finished off with 2qt of brand new M1 FS 5W-20. Honda Genuine filter ($9 at Autozone!).

Out-unknown. Just bought a new to me 2015 Nissan Frontier QR25DE 2.5 with 98,000 miles. Baselining fluids and filters. Filled with ST 5W-30 full synthetic and Denso filter.

2020 Mazda CX-5 GT 2.5L - 4850miles - 1st Oil Change
Out: 5(4.8)QT Mazda OEM 0w20 - Factory Filter
In: 5(4.8)QT 0w20 Mobile 1 - Mazda OEM Filter

Got done ahead of the 5k interval because the maintenance reminder light EVERY time I started the car was getting on my nerves. Going to try out the flexible oil change schedule and see what it looks like for this OCI. If it seems goofy I'll just go back to a 5k interval and call it done.

Haven't used RP in the last 15 years so this one is going in the Silverado. A bit peeved when they introduced a API approved version, dropped Synerlec and still priced the same. Just payin for the name when M1 or Castrol Syntec offers similar performance for less.
