I use same filter spec. Did you notice if your new Mobil-1 104a had bigger round tube holes, or the small slant-eyes?

The last time I went opening boxes of 3-4 different filter brands to see the tubes inside, I felt like I being watched from an overhead camera.
Being Intuitive here in the real world, it almost made me want to look up and give the ceiling the finger.....lol

Yeah. Those things are begging for a remote mount filter, especially with 4WD.

Just bought a 15 mo. old 2019 Grand Cherokee Overland w. 13,800 mi. Came with a certified warranty. From the appearance of the exterior paint & the leather dash I could see that it had been neglected. The car fax said the only oil & filter change on record was the one done by the dealer when it was traded in, about 500 mi. ago. So I suspected that the oil had not been changed previously. The dealer service dept. verified that they had used PP when they changed the oil. So I pulled the filter and compared it to the MOPAR filter that I had in my 2018, with about 3K mi. on it. The one in the 2019 looked much dirtier. So now I had to assume that the PP did its job of cleaning and I was seeing the results in the filter. Couldn't leave it like that so I replaced the oil with some M1 I had in my stash & another MOPAR filter. Hopefully I am good now. Happy Independence Day to you all!

Ugly old 1996 Lincoln Town Car with 300k miles on the clock that's getting sold cheap. My father in law parked it 3 years ago when he upgraded and they need it gone. I probably shouldn't have bothered changing it, but I figured it might be the last fresh oil that car ever sees. I suctioned out some black oil like substance with a evacuation pump and refilled with Chrevron Surpreme: 3 quarts of 5w20 and 1.5 quarts of 5w30 from partial jugs in my stash. The Fram OCD stayed where it was.
