Castrol Syntec Blend 5w30 API SM from around 10 years ago. Reused Fram Ultra oil filter.

Picked up a little 2wd ranger that had been sitting for 2 years, one new fuel pump later and it is running like a champ. Best part is that it has a whopping 90k miles on the 2.3

The oil actually looked super clean but I changed it out of principal after sitting 2 years.

1993 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3, 90,000 miles

Out - Unknown oil, Napa Gold filter
In - 5 quarts Supertech Full synthetic 10w-30 and a Motorcraft FL1A

What OCI should I shoot for with this setup? I change my other trucks at 3k because I like to!

The exponential increase in motor noise from the Mobil 1 oil in that motor would be cause for calling the cops

Going strong at 604,800. Just took it to Columbus OH and back. Averaged 30mpg.
