3705 miles on VDB 5w-30, topped up with about a quart of the same since April 13, 2016

I changed out the Purolator the other day for a a Fram. Now I am doing a full OC with a AC PF457G and Synpower 5w-30.

We will see how it responds to full synthetic. It has done great on a blend, so I am not to sure about trying a full syn, but we will see!

2012 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 88,2xx KM

Blew out the air filter for now will change in the Fall. Its not worth changing it now for me because its just going to get filled with dirt shortly. Noticed water pump is leaking from the weep hole, good thing I caught it early. Most of the front end is coated with dirt dust and coolant. Looks rust water. Will change water pump, thermostat and gasket today.

Out: Chevron Supreme 5W-20 / Napa Gold 1372. Yes, this is the wrong filter but the only difference between a NG 7899 is the bypass pressure is a little bit higher on the 1372.
In: Chevron Supreme 5W-20 / Mobil M1-210. Will probably run this for 8K, then change the oil only.

133,645 mi., Napa Gold filter.

Only 240 mi. away from tire rotation time on my Cruze, and since my wife is driving it most of the time now and the in-dash fuel economy stays 3-4 MPG lower than it did when I put all the miles on, and the oil is getting dirty quicker, I'm thinking about switching back from Schaeffer's 9000 (which I'd run to 7,500 mi. or 0% - give or take leas than 5% - on the OLM) back to cheaper Synpower and shorten the interval back to 5K just to make sure I keep any deposits at bay.

NOTES: No oil added during this OCI or any previous--still at full mark. I remain impressed with this engine--powerful and quiet with fuel economy in the 27-28 MPG range at highway speeds.

Brother passing through town on a visit with his 2007 Grand Caravan. On checking his oil I saw how dark it was and said you are only half way through you road trip. Time to get this stuff out!

Out whatever bulk from Midas shop where he lives and cheap oil filter. He gets their 19.95 special.

In 5w20 Supertech conventional oil and Supertech S16 filter. I'm betting that whatever came out and off may not be as good as what went in and on.

Not sure the milage but he and his wife can now finish the road trip from Illinois to California and back with some fresh oil.

About 8k miles on the Wolf's Head oil, which was put in by the shop that did the oil pan gasket change. Just kept it in there until the oil level dropped to ADD, then swap in the RT6.
