Did the yearly oil change on both my mom and dad's vehicles. They drive very little (less than 5K per vehicle per year) so they just do a 1 year oci.

Out: Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 and Wix 7712 filter
In: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 and Carquest Blue 84712 filter

Third change using the Kendall, love how the engine runs on it.
Didn't quite make it to 7k as scheduling would otherwise put me way past the 7k mark before I could get the oil changed.

I was thinking about using up a 1L of Mobil 1 5w50 but thought best to stick with 5w30.
2006 Acura TL with 3.2 liter engine. 148,000 or so at the change. I was going by the oil life monitor and I don't know how many miles it had on the oil as I had just purchased the car. It was awfully clean though, but I have a hard time believing that the Honda/Acura tech who did the last change didn't reset the oil life monitor. (He did over tighten the drain plug and for that I'd like to kick him.)
Out: Unknown, probably the Conoco Phillips Semi Synthetic stuff that the dealer uses as it had a Honda filter on it.
In: Supertech Full Synthetic and a Fram Ultra synthetic filter. (Lord forgive me for using a Fram but at least it has metal end caps. Even the Honda filters made by Honeywell use the cardboard/fiber end caps.) I have noticed a small increase in fuel mileage, along the lines of 1-2 MPG on the highway and in mixed driving.

The ultras are a good filter for a good price. Im not a fan of Fram but I have nothing against them. Every company will make cheap parts since most people buy the cheapest anyways. For the price its a good filter. I would consider the ultra grams best passenger vehicle filter.
