6624 KM OCI, OLM was at 0% for the second time, reset and ran down to 0 again.

No filter change, left the same Mobil 1-101 on there but I did take it off and let the oil that it was holding up in the engine out.

No sample this time. I had planned on it but changed my mind. Will likely try Petro-Canada analysis in the spring when I change both cars.

Switched From Short OCI on Pennzoil conventional Conv. (Pennzoil Conventional) 2300 miles (oil was dark brown/black) 5w20to:

Mobil Super HM Synthetic Blend 5qts 5w20 1 qt 5w30

Seems to be running just as quiet and smooth as the Pennzoil Conventional. Previously had Mobil 1 Full Synthetic before the Pennzoil Conventional and it ran a little loud after almost 3000 miles, oil came out black.

On 8/3/13 for my 2000 VW Jetta GL, out Mag1 5W40 Euro after 9k miles. In went Mobil 1 0W40 with OEM oil filter. Planned OCI is 9k miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.

So far, 400 miles on this oil and the engine loves it. More noticeable pep and less noise than previous fill. No consumption yet.

I had a great UOA of this oil from this car last summer.
I'm limiting OCIs to 4K as a result of fuel dilution.
This is also the reason I've stuck with a 10W-40.
I think I've resolved the fuel dilution issue recently, so I'll UOA next summer's run to see whether a 10w30 would work.
