Post your latest oil change

Something might be getting chewed up ... not a good level of medal debris for a 2nd break-in run. What was the first OCI looking like in terms of metal debris ... worse than this OCI?
The first oil change was done by CARMAX at 3,400 miles, so I have no knowledge of anything other than they gave me sheet showing the oil and filter change. I really wasn't expecting this much debris on the filter-at all. Hopefully I can get all the chunks out of it and it isn't something really bad.

Kia OEM filter

Berryman’s intake and combustion chamber cleaner and BG EPR used immediately prior to this oil change. (Dealer recommended decarb service due to oil burning). Techron added to gas tank. New PCV after last OCI. Dealer oil burning test results found burning approximately 1qt per 1500 miles. Kia TSB requires 1qt per 1000 miles for dealer to do piston soak or other remedies.

This was @The Critic sister's ride. I have not had a chance to get my hands on it untill today. Gonna hafta rag on my niece... Ha!
In 9K miles it did not go through a drop. This car will LAST! I offered to trade straight across for our M3P, but she turned me down...

Gave it a quick ONR warsh and headlight polish.

I think you changed it 3 months ago, pal...

Glad to hear that it continues to serve them well.

I really wish this car would have come with the 2.5. I have a 19 Sport and it would have made such a better drive without being crazy. Would be able to get out of its own way.

Totally agree. The 2.0 is not going to set any speed records, but this car is my work/commute car seeing about 80+ miles 5x a week of rural 2 lane roads. So for open rural driving it gets the job done, just not as fast as some.

I also changed the plastic oil drain plug, GM 12713651. I change the oil so often that I don’t think it makes sense for me to go with the more expensive CQ Premium compared to the PG 99495. Lower efficiency, but still higher than the OE filter.

The oil coming out was beyond black. It was also a little low compared to fill level. I think the oil pan has a small leak. It is plastic!
