With a few weeks to go in 2024, M1 is still the king in this community, but Valvoline will definitely be near towards the top this year.It will be interesting to see where Valvoline sits (because i see so many VRP usage posts here) when @Superbuick96 does his customary end-of-year tally. Forgive my presumption, @Superbuick96. As always, this is the best thread, along with @53' Stude

How has that mkc treated you? My wife wants either an mkc or a cx5 from mazda. We’ve had good luck with the 2.0 ecoboost in our’13 fusion at nearly 200k mi now but have heard several issues with some of the ancillary systems on the mkc. Just curious about an owners perspective.Very cold here in PA, but was getting close to my limits for OCI on our two daily drivers…

No major issues, just some minor annoyances. Fuel system/evap system has needed some work, but not until about 100k miles. Very happy overall, though I’m a Ford guy so I expect some issuesHow has that mkc treated you? My wife wants either an mkc or a cx5 from mazda. When it was $55-ish and came with a car wash and interior vacuum, it was worth it to me. Now that it's $105 but oil hasn't doubled in price, no way. I'm saving $15/mth by doing my own. Or, essentially, getting a free streaming service. The Kirkland oil was probably much higher quality oil then the bulk oil the dealership uses.
Dealerships usually have an express oil change lane, where they have some young person making minimum wage doing the oil changes with the bulk oil. That's not something I would want to pay $105 for (LOL).
LOL the reason I do April and October OIC'sWoke up to about 6” of snow that had fallen overnight, so after shoveling and plowing:

Changing oil in ice.'No way' for what, Pablo?
I'm going with copcarguy's making date+mileage notes ON the filter itself.
I'll still put my "AF done @ ab,cde mi." label on the housing.
(I also include a "30K duty - DO NOT INSPECT" label)
Not my first choice either, believe me! If you’d like to gift me a heated garage with a lift it is the holiday season Pablo!!Changing oil in ice.
