Post your latest oil change

Changed the oil in a friend’s 2012 Ford Territory today, with the 2.7L V6 turbo Diesel

220,000km total, about 13,000km on the oil.

Out: Petronas Syntium XS 5W-30 C2/C3, MANN filter

In: Nulon 5W-40 Performance A3/B4, Ryco filter (I had ordered another MANN but it didn’t turn up in time, which is frustrating. I really don’t like using Rycos)

2013 RAM 1500 Laramie 5.7
95,116 miles, 5K OCI
Out: Mobil 1 5w-20, Motorcraft FL-820S filter
In: 5 qts. Mobil 1 5w-30, 2 qts. Mobil 1 5w-20, Parts Plus PH820 oil filter

2014 BRZ. oil had around ~813 miles on it. I got the engine swapped with another used motor so I'm sending off an oil analysis out of curiosity.
out: unknown oil / microgard oil filter
in: 0w20 Amazon basics 5 quarts+ topped off with PUP 5w30 around . 7 of a quart.
stp filter I got when buying VRP at AutoZone.

i made a mess so no pictures.😂

No problem - that 2.4 will soldier on without complaint!!
I had been putting it off over and over because it needs a valve adjustment. Wanted to do it all in one go but still procrastinated. Finally realized oil is cheap and I can get the valves adjusted on the next nice day. I did change out the spark plugs, old ones didn't even look bad.

I just put a fresh K24 in a 2005 Accord EX that my Aunt bought new and popped the original motor last spring (watch the upper radiator neck - it broke, she didn't notice before it melted down). I couldn't let a rust free car head to the junkyard and had it shipped from Colorado to NY, sourced a super clean low mileage K24 and dropped it in. Valves were super easy to get in adjustment and plan on doing it again here when the weather finally breaks now that I have a few thousand miles on the motor.

Perfect second car / winter warrior while my Type-R is in winter storage. I love how analogue it is compared to anything recent.

Did three last weekend:

It’s awesome that all three vehicles I maintain take the same sized filters. Makes it super easy

What was your OCI with the HPL PP+?

Please say 3-5k.
I am worried that when I do my 1st oil change with HPL oils and report a 3k OCI, I will get banned for wasting good oil.
The guy that runs this place (mostly) does 25+k OCIs.
We need to hide Mr. Wilson in a closet when I announce my 1st OCI with HPL. But let hm eat all the Pizza he wants.

The OCI on my Fiesta ST is 3-4k miles mostly due to fuel dilution. I’ve done a bunch of UOA’s to support my decision. This car is also highly modified.

The Mazda does 10k intervals on HPL

2007 Ford Fusion 3.0 V6 200,655 miles. Friends car.

Out:unknown most likely store brand or house brand as she does most of her own work.
Off: STP S2XL

In: 6 quarts Fram 5W-20 High Mileage
On: Motorcraft FL820S

All parts provided by friend. Doing her transmission next week as it’s a bit tricky with the pan at the front of the engine on the V6 model. And it’s very windy today so uncomfortable to work outside but she is fine with that. She didn’t want to do it this time as she just had a baby so she isn’t too mobile right now. I love helping people she tried paying me but I kindly refused since she is a single mom I couldn’t take money from her.

No oil improver in this one? I usually see an oil improver added to all your other changes.
This was an engine change I did at home, customer supplied the oil and filter. Most of the changes I do with the additive are done at my friend's shop. He runs the additive when a car is getting regular API oil instead of a top shelf oil.
