Post your latest oil change

Great thread!

These were back in November but figure they count --

-----

2005 Honda CRV 2.4, 228,500 miles, 2650 on oil

Out: blend of various Schaeffer leftovers including 15w40; NAPA Gold

In: blend of various 5w Scheaffer leftovers; NAPA Gold

This vehicle was neglected before purchase as HS kids' beater @ 218k. Short intervals around 3k. This change was early for winter.

(and before someone comments, worldwide the K24 engine can use up to 20w50)

2020 Jeep Wrangler 2.0T, 52809 on vehicle, 6027 on oil:

Out: Amsoil XL 5w30, Amsoil filter

In: Amsoil SS 5w30, Amsoil filter

I use 5w40 in mine year round and notice no issues but it definitely reduces how much oil it uses down to a minimal level.
I’d use 15w40 without hesitation.

2023 Audi A4 (TFSI 45 DPAA engine) with 7k miles
Out: Ravenol VMP
In: RL Euro 5w-30. MANN HU 6013z synthetic filter.
Reasoning: the EA888 Gen 3 was spec’d for 5w-40 502, then 5w-30 504, and now 0w-20 508. I’m sticking with the 504 spec for the greater HTHS over 508 and mid SAPS to reduce valve deposits. And the RL has a super low Noack under 5 along with a huge slug of Boron plus some Moly. It also has reduced Calcium and is SP compatible.
So far the car runs real smooth on it.

Mostly spirited highway driving and the oil takes a good twenty minutes to crack 190F and rarely gets over 210 so I’m not sure the extra viscosity is really needed…

-2024 GMC 1500 SLE 5.3 V8 with 873 miles miles since new.

Out: Factory fill 0w-20, AC Delco PF63 filter with 873 miles on oil.

In: Amsoil OE 0w-20, Purolator BOSS (PBL22500)

- The factory fill was quite dark for only 873 miles. Anyone know what oil GM is using lately? I'm guessing it's either AC Delco or Mobil 1 but unsure if it's full or blended synthetic. Usually I stick with Amsoil or Wix filters. However, I'm impressed with the PL BOSS cold flow in very frigid weather. WOW was that factory filter installed tight!

I wonder if the darker color is from the DI? Not all of them do that; our Mazda doesn't but our Armada 5.6 darkened oil very quickly.

2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve
2.5 Turbo
13168 Miles

Mobil1 5W30 Extended Performance
Mazda 1WPY14302 Oil Filter
Votex Drain Plug Crush Washer

Only 2829 Miles since last oil change 6 months ago but I stick to 6 months regardless of mileage due to short trips (3 miles to work), direct injection and turbo.

Yep! And because I have trade accounts as a former mechanic so I can get the Castrol 0W-40 in 20L drums for under $250 which is a LOT cheaper than the M1.

M1 in Australia is outrageously expensive
Do you guys have any brands there under $50 in Australia? Maybe something like Kirkland? Those are hefty prices for oil.
