I like that. Gives a semi- syn oil. The T6 is known to break down, the T4 stabilizes.
There is a T5 in both 10-30 and 15-40. Don't know if either has a JASO on them but they will work.

Bel-Ray blend out and Valvoline Mineral VR1 Racing Oil in 2 weeks ago , First time using VR1! So far, I LOVE IT, SILENT Top End!

Today, Bel-Ray Big Twin 85w-140 transmission and Bel-Ray V-Twin Primary out and the same Bel-Ray back in.

However, THIS time I measured exactly how much Primary fluid drained out so I could install that exact same back in.

My old eyes got tired of trying to see the primary fluid just touch that clutch.

I always had to bring the bike jack out and find a level spot in the garage. Now I know its EXACTY 28 oz so will be EZ each time moving forward.

Don't tell the wife I had to raid her kitchen for measuring tools...

I love magnetic plugs. I’m trying to remember, but I think I replaced my Harley one with a gold plug.
They’re incredibly strong.

Even more important for shared sump motorcycles, I felt. My two previous bikes were shared.

I did the oil change last around October 2025. Mobil 1 15w50 and a Fram.

My wife and I rode the bike to the Harley dealer and around town this past weekend. I picked up Formula Plus to change out the primary and transmission fluid as well as adjust the clutch. Also, a new primary derby cover gasket.
Two new spark plugs and a new air filter should all be going in this week.

I was very sick last year missed the whole year of riding. Actually, I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to ride again but after this weekend, I think I’m good. Just put on last year’s sticker on my license plate and next month I have to put the new one on! Finally got to wash it as well. Was a little disappointed to see some effects of the salt air on some of the chrome being we live closer to the coast now. Just minor like the mirrors which I can replace.

Alarmguy,
I get it, I moved to the South Carolina Coast 25 years ago with my now 29 year old Heritage. I had to park it under a cover in moms condo parking lot util my house was ready 4-6 weeks. Moisture got trapped under the cover and my bike developed rust / corrosion for the very first time and then the home I purchased the storage building was almost in a swamp and the bike didn't do much better.

However, I found the aftermarket chrome parts, Kuryakyn and no name China chrome did the worst when the Harley brand stuff did okay except the stock lower non chrome forks.

Thats the reason when I purchased my then new 2023 Harley I negotiated chrome lowers and the lowering springs day one before bringing the bike home.

Also, one thing I learned that truly helps moisture forming on the bike in my high humid area is I buy a $40-$50 rubber mat on Amazon and always park the bike on the mat. Totally stopped moisture forming on my bike when parked in my garage so now I get zero rust on my 3 bikes, old to new and I'm still on the coast even closer to the ocean.

Changed the fluids in the wives 19 Sport Glide today. Harley Fluids out, Bel-Ray Semi Synthetic 20w-50, Bel-Ray Primary and Bel-Ray Big Twin 85w-140 IN and the new Made by Mahle , Harley OEM oil filter...

Now things are sounding and shifting better and I just found neutral as its been hiding someplace?

Getting things ready for Myrtle Beach Bike Week May 8-17-2026. This will be my 29th or 30th in a Spring Rally and I normally do the Fall rally as well.

2026 KTM 390 Adventure R got its break-in service today at just under 600 miles. Out: KTM OEM oil and filter... In: Motorex 15w-50 part synth (KTM recommended) and KTM filter. Given KTM's past camshaft issues, I'm not willing to deviate from their recommendation in case I have a warranty issue.

When I took the oil filter cover off, there was no gasket underneath. I checked both surfaces and my oil pan, couldn't find it. Rode a different bike to the nearest dealer to buy a new one for $1.99. I have a hard time believing that there was no gasket all this time because there was no leak, but that seems to be the easiest explanation. Either that or I'll find the old gasket behind my ear in a few days.

Oil screens had the typical break-in crap, cleaned and replaced.

I have found Turtle Wax Chrome Polish to be effective at removing small rust spots from both my exhaust and my chrome mirrors.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I have all kinds of waxes both from my cars and from our boat.
One of them happens to be turtle wax.
I guess if you could say there is good news there is no rust. Just some rough areas that you could tell caused by salt air.
I’m going give this year a full on effort after my health crisis of last year. I think I’ll be good and looking forward to changing all the fluids, plugs, air filter, and a real good waxing.

As posted wife and I had it out a week ago and it ran absolutely perfect like it always does.
I was shocked at how well it was shifting clicking exactly with precision into each gear starting me rethinking maybe I won’t adjust the clutch, but I’m going do the whole thing like starting out new for the summer. The shifting can get more sloppy when the weather is really hot and you know the transmission oil is thinned out. So I’d rather take care of everything now and enjoy the summer.

Thanks for your post!

felt like changing the oil in the W230, and sending out a sample. I didn't change the oil filter this time though. the bike only has 750 miles on its second filter. It's kinda of a pain to replace the oil filter on this bike as well. Did a quick drain and fill in the storage unit. As, I can't work on anything in the complex. I plan on doing a rent a lift for my cars, and probably the bike next time.

About 6am this morning, changed the oil in my 2025 Honda CRF450RL. Aynaxcol KN116 oil filter, and Motul 7100 10W40 oil.
I bought a 10 pack of the filters on Amazon, no idea if they're any good, or not. The first two oil changes, were at about 4 hours on it, third was about 7 hours, this was its 4th oil change, and 11 hours, we did a long ride yesterday.
Anyone know anything about Aynaxcol oil filters?
