Just put a Cam in the truck. Should tow AWESOME.
6.0 Chevy, I expect to see around 45 HP and 60 FT/LBS of torque at the wheels.

The only mod I`ve done to my car was to replace the plastic oem shifter bushings with bronze ones. I tried a short shifter for awhile, got tired of it,and re-installed the stock one.

I don't really mod my commuter mule but I did swap the rear trunk chrome trim for a color matched, and swapped the chrome front grille for a black SI style grille. I really do not like chrome.

My car has remained stock aside from those things, and will remain that way. (this car, but not if I ever get a fun car...)

I like that idea and it might be my next "mod". I have made a mess the last two times I changed my own oil.

I forgot, besides the baseball shift knob and Dynomax muffler I posted about above, I also installed a real oil pressure gauge in the 2001 Ranger:

Sweet! I wonder how hard it would be to install an oil temp guage?

If you remove the oil filter mount, which is removable on this vehicle, you could bore a second hole for oil temp, though there may be better locations to get good oil temp. I just use pressure as a rough indication of temp.

that sounds a little excessive from just a cam... are you increasing the duration and lift by an absurd amount?

LS motors are very undercammed from the factory, so it's actually not unreasonable to gain that much from a cam, especially one with fairly aggressive lift rates / quantity and reasonable duration.
