Possible substitutions for Fram 10575?

Hi all, like many of you, my local retailers are running low on oil filters for my 2017 Traverse LS. The stock filter is AC Delco PF63, and I've been using the upper-tier Frams in the 10575 family for years, like the Ultra Synthetic, Synthetic Endurance, and Titanium. No one around me has any of the Fram 10575 family in stock. Supplies of the Mobil 212A are dwindling, and my local Walmarts don't have a lot of PF63's in stock and don't carry many WIX or Purolator filters. I'd rather buy local if I can at all help it.

Having said that, I noticed that there's still quite a few Fram XG12750 filters still in stock around here in the Atlanta metro area.

I started looking up what the 12750 fits, and here's where it gets interesting to me.

Cross reference info from many sources around the 'net.

2017 Traverse LLT 3.6
~22 psi bypass pressure
AC Delco PF63
Fram 10575 family
Baldwin B7449
Mobil 212A
Wix 10255 family
etc

2020 Traverse LFY 3.6
~22 psi bypass pressure
Fram 10575 family
Fram 12750 family
AC Delco PF63
Baldwin B7449
Mobil 212A
Wix 10255 family
etc

Fram's site says that the 2017 Traverse can use the 10575 family, and the 2020 Traverse can use either the 10575 or 12750 family.

My question to the more knowledgeable members is, does this data suggest that the Fram 12750 might be a useful filter substitute for the 1st gen Traverse/Acadia/etc? Or maybe a general replacement for the 10575 in other applications, space permitting?

Note: Fram's site does say something very odd though. For all of the 12750 family, all of them show an integrated bypass valve, EXCEPT the Titanium FS12750. Typo? Deliberate? I don't know. I tried a chat on their site for technical info, and they say they'll respond with more info. I'll update this post if more data comes in.

TIA,
Brian

Frams out of business so you will be hard pressed to find anymore.

A couple good ones that should be easy to find:

Mobil
Microguard Select at Oreilly Auto

I agree completely with what you said, but if I can pick up some 12750 filters at clearance prices, that makes them an attractive option, but only if they are compatible with my needs. The Mobil and Microgard Select are on my short list for replacements for the Fram filters I've been using, as are the Baldwin and Donaldson filters, since they are available locally pretty cheap.

Why not just use the oem filter? Millions on GM vehicles at this moment, plus you don’t need to overthink anything. The oil filter rabbit hole gets old after a while. Easier just to stick with OEM

I can't dispute that at all, but I like having options.

ACDelco was also made by Champion Labs (which went down with the First Brands bankruptcy), so some of those might be hard to get now unless ACDelco has already found a new manufacturer.

The size and specs look pretty close to each other. Probably would interchange which seems to point that way with the other info you found. Fram only shows 3 filter models in the 12750.

Filtering a slightly different way shows the whole lineup of five 12750 and four 10575 models:

If you go to Advance Auto's website, add a 2017 Traverse LS to your garage, and search for the FS12750, it comes up and says that this model is an exact fit for the 2017 Traverse, even though supposedly this model has no bypass valve. I may swing by our local store, ask to see one, and see if I can tell if there is or is not a bypass valve by looking down the center with a flashlight.

Also, I didn't notice earlier that the Fram site, when viewing for a 2020 Traverse, explicitly says that the 10575 is an alternate for the 12750.

ACDelco is currently sourcing from different manufacturers to counter the First Brands problem. Example. There is a PF66, PF66A, PF66B, PF66C available.

Wonderful points you've all raised, but if Advance Auto is clearancing out all house-brand Frams (Drive, Force, and Titanium) and they still have a fair amount of 12750 filters running from $1.50 to $4.00 apiece while supplies last, that gets my attention and makes me wonder if they'd be useful to me.

Clearance at AAP has been going on for a few months now. You may want to get on that sooner rather than later as most of the popular SKU's are gone

Yeah I've been grabbing up all of the FS12060 filters I can find at AAP locally for my PF64 Equinox at $4.25 each, and the 12750 filters caught my eye, since as originally noted they don't officially cross to the 2017 Traverse.
It kind of goes without saying that, since the PF63 and PF64 are identical spec-wise aside from height (my Traverse came stock with a PF64 with a sticker saying something to the effect of "Replace with PF63"), the 12750 may be useful to my Equinox as well.
The TSB I found online said that the 3.6 V6 of that time got the PF64 rather than the PF63 solely due to space concerns on the assembly line, not due to any technical difference between the two filters.

There's a later revision that includes the 2017 model year, but I can't find it right now.

AAP had quite a few Titanium 12750. I picked up several for my buddy's 2019 Blazer. Here's some CORs on the clearance shelf at Walmart. Best pic I could get with my phone.

Here is a quick unscientific breakdown of the bypass pressure ratings for various models taken from manufacturer published specs, showing where in this scenario the 12750 fits. It seems to have a higher range of pressures than the 10575, but not extremely so.

PF63 and compatible
PF63 - 22 psi
PF64 - 22 psi
Baldwin B7449 - 20 psi
Donaldson P577066 - 22 psi
Mobil 1 M1-212A - 22 psi
Mobil 1 M1-114A - 22 psi
Fram Synthetic Endurance FE10575 - 18-24 psi
Fram Titanium FS10575 - 16-28 psi
Fram Ultra Synthetic XG10575 - 16-28 psi
Fram Force FF10575 - 16-28 psi
Fram Tough Guard TG10575 - 16-28 psi
Fram Drive FD10575 - 16-28 psi
Fram Extra Guard PH10575 -16-28 psi

12750 family
Fram Ultra Synthetic XG12750 - 22-28 psi
Fram Drive FD12750 - 22-28 psi
Fram Force FF10575 - 22-28 psi
Fram Extra Guard PH12750 - 22 psi
Fram Titanium FS12750 - Fram site says no bypass valve (https://www.fram.com/fram-titanium-spin-on-oil-filter-fs12750), but maybe that is incorrect.
