Does anyone have info to what Porsche's testing involves for the C20 and C30 approval? Are the bench tests the same as for A40?

From a viscosity standpoint here's what flavors Mobil offers. Not for certain what the tests involve. Possibly mainly HT/HS & SAPS levels. I'd imagine they have different requirements for their respective applications.
- 0W-20 advanced full synthetic motor oil approved against Porsche spec C20.
- 0W-30 and 5w30 advanced full synthetic motor oils approved against Porsche spec C30
- 0W-40, 5W-40 and 5W-50 advanced full synthetic motor oils approved against Porsche spec A40

No. A40 has Nordschlife simulation test.
C20 and C30 go hand in hand with VW508.00/509.00 nad VW504.00/507.00.

Are 508/509 subject to VW's Baumusterprüfung? (~650hrs). I would've thought Porsche would've had their own bench test--what sets apart C20 and C30?

What sets apart C20 and C30? One is 0W20, another 0/5W30, min HTHS 3.5cp.
I mean, what sets it apart from ACEA 'parent' specs C5/C6 and C3?

Same, HTHS=fuel efficiency requirements. ACEA C5/6 has higher LSPI demands. But don't forget, ACEA is just a start.

If that graph is correct, how Mobil 1 ESP 0W-20 covers both VW 508.00 / 509.00 and Porsche C20, and also MB 229.71?
