I had an oil change with German castrol 0w-30. I also had the air and oil filter changed. According to my manual my car needs 4.2 quarts of oil thats exactly how much i added. However i noticed the oil was a bit low just under the full mark. So i added about 200ml of valvoline maxlife leftover from couple months ago because i did not have any castrol. Right after i first started the car i had a check engine light. i opened the hood and adjusted the maf sensor plug (tightened it) and cleaned the maf sensor thinking that maybe some dirt or oil contaminated it. I started the car again and the engine light was gone but the start was not quick as always. It took some cranking. Now its back to normal though but Im worried and not sure what has happened? Any clues?

If it is back to normal don't worry about it. It is normal for the car to behave abnormally during the initial start and first little while of driving after cleaning the MAF or throttle body.

A check engine light right after you added a bit of oil? Strange.
You probably knocked into an electrical connection.
It could be luck, or you could have fixed something.

It could be the first start to fill the filter he didn't blip the throttle and the MAF diagnostics didn't run. Then the 2nd start he did hit the throttle and it knew the MAF had an issue.
