Polyurethane sway bar bushings Silglide

98 Taurus rear sway bar.
I am replacing the sway bar bushings and end links. Don't they all go on with silicone grease? The original bar bushings were rubber/reinforcing cord of some type.

They looked like they probably had grease on them, but not sure?

Grease all the bushings generously to avoid squeaks and noise.

I wonder if Amsoil Open Gear grease would be best suited to the job since I've heard that its amongst the best greases for applications where regular grease would be expected to wash out relatively fast. I'll have to try it myself when it comes time to change my bushings.

Here is my excellent tip:

Dimple the inner surface of the main bushings . Use tiny dimples - kinda like mini golf ball dimples. A dremel tool or similar works well, an only takes a minute. This will retain your grease and work better than sipes or grooves.
Leave the end link bushings stock.
Then use whatever lube. Special sway bar lube is great - good luck finding it. Sticky and thick!
I use moly chassis grease - works really well.
