Polyol ester base stocks

Is Red Line a GRP V because it contains Polyol ester base stocks? I read on a different site that it is a GRP V because of this..

Redline is a group IV and V oil. IOW's it's made of POE and PAO's. If anyone tells you Redline is 100% Group V or 100% ester they are yanking your chain.

redline is a group 5 oil and uses a tad bit of pao.

18% PAO is what has been posted, but I have yet to see hard documentation.

Right. It's anyone's guess, nor does it matter, how much POE is in it.

100% POE wouldnt be the greatest thing either for your seals, so the PAO I would think is desirable for a more stable oil.
