Political dirty tricks

For those of old enough to remember, during the Watergate hearings some of Nixon's dirty tricks were exposed.

One of these was to have operatives show up at McGovern rallies with signs that said things such as "Homosexuals for McGovern"

Man, how things have changed.

So, having gay people vote for a candidate is a dirty trick? It's the Bush contingent that is blowing off the gay vote with thier Anti-Gay policies. Of course that group will vote against the conservative religuous right.

If you read the original post, Scott, in 1972 the support of homosexuals was considered death. I did use the past tense of the verb "to be". I did not start this topic as a referendum on Bush or the war in Iraq. You, howver, would like to hijack the thread that way.

I can't seem to find anything related to Iraq in my post. I guess that subliminal typing class I'm taking is working after all.

Your point is that the Democrats see the gay vote as good instead of bad? They choose to accept rather than alienate or shun? In that case, the times are changing...for the better.
