Please don't park on private property...

So does the tow truck just tool around looking for a payday? 10 minutes is pretty quick.
No, they get called. The condos are the better part of a mile away. It makes sense he hooked up the car and drove outta there quick. I heard the rig idling and went out to see what was going on.
The 1st thing I thought of was, "That thing is gorgeous. I want it."

The acceleration is similar to a roller coaster. I tell people to put their heads against the head rest and brace themselves. The day we brought the M3P home, Sue drove it to a safe area and I told her to punch it. I was not ready for the G forces. It hurt my neck. Seriously.

I want to say I do not drive this way in any unsafe area. Almost not at all. Not sure if I have hit 100 mph on places like 280 North above Page Mill. But it happens really quickly. I hear the car pulls to 130 like nothing.
You have a Sue too?!

Sometimes the tow companies will patrol private properties that they have contracts with . No parking permit visible , you get the hook .
My understanding is, this was in a red zone. I sometimes wonder what would happen if there were an emergency and I had to get somewhere, but no car. Of course I would have 1 person to blame, I guess...

$500 bones is $500 bones. I would be kicking myself. Actually I'd be crying...
As others have said, what happens if the car gets damaged, scratched, whatever?

By the way, how much is a car like this worth, anyways? Just curious...

Dunno. Of course 600 HP sucks the gas, whatever kinda gas you are running.
There are a lotta videos out there. All I can say is, for $55 large there is nothing else like it. A BMW M8 Competition offers similar speeds and that costs $160K up.
I've said it before but it's worth repeating... Tesla and BMW are going to combine somehow in the next ten years. Cross licensing technology, sharing a dealer network somewhere, or one gobbling the other in a hostile takeover. They already rob buyers from each other.

To see what they can do, in Nevada anyway, watch Sin City Tow on Discover. I used to think they had to be called by the manager. Au contraire. Red zone, handicapped parking, posted no parking, etc. they can hook and tow on the spot. Business they contract with across the street from a bar or strip club, after hours, anything in their lot is fair game. Seems like half their business results from cruising and spotting.

The Neue Klasse platform just might reset just about everything... This is not a multi-drivetrain car; it is purpose built.

Heck, I'd like to see it. I've never even sat in a Tesla. One day I would like to drive one and experience their instantaneous torque. I'm certain I'll be amazed.

Yes you will. 2 kinds of people in this world, ones who have launched a Tesla and ones who haven't. It's been a week since I did and still think about it and tell people about it. Don't want one but it is amazing.

Had a ride in a Rivian R1T pickup with quad motors. 2.5 sec. 0-60. Incredible. Actually made me feel nausuous as I was not prepared to be thrown back in the seat that hard.

@edyvw can stop in for a coffee anytime. He and @slo town can park in my driveway and drool over my Tesla.

I already have electric machine to admire. Does same thing:

I heard the sound of machinery outside. So a gorgeous BMW is hooked up to a tow rig.
"What happened? Broke down?" "No, private property tow..." In a red zone or something.

Older condos around the corner. Bummer. Somebody is gonna be unhappy. And probably $500 worse off.
Beautiful car... Sheesh.

Is the street private property?

Is the street private property?
Not the street. But the condo complex is and there are red no parking areas for emergency vehicles. I think that might have been what happened. Or the driver parked in someone's numbered spot? Dunno.
I've parked inside the complex a few times looking at condos up for sale. I'm in the market...
