Pleasant Tire Purchase Experience At WalMart

Took my lady friend Karen to WalMart to get new front tires on her 180K 2015 Ford Fuzion. Only needed 2 new front tires. Total out the door with all the fees (and taxes) was $210.37. Yes they were the Douglas tires. Got the "we're done" text 45 minutes later while we eating at the Waffle Housa. They look really aggressive. After paying we took it up the interstate to check the balance. Perfect to 80 mph and the wheels stayed on. The price included Road Hazard. Happy WalMart TLE customer.

If you have Walmart plus (we love it) you get free grocery delivery to the house, 10 cents off per gallon of gas, and free tire road hazard plan on tires bought at Walmart. Last year I had a screw in a tire outside the repairable area and they put a new tire on, installed, with a new warranty for free plus fees (about $20)

The annual price is WAY worth the cost. The weekly grocery delivery to the house, for free, saves us at least an hour per week in shopping time. Saving 52 hours a year standing in line and shopping in a crowd, is totally worth the price. Plus we save a lot of money on gas.

I’ve been pleased with the Douglas tires I’ve put on my older Mercedes cars. They’ve all done well for me. US made and priced right.

My son just got 4 Douglas tires at Walmart. Hes happy so far. They look good. 18 in by ???. They have a little more sidewall than previous (same size) tires. Which to me is a good thing. I thought about trying them before but never have. Yet

No problems with a few different sets of Douglas tires on various vehicles. Very happy with them.

I had WalMart install the last few sets of tires we bought. I noticed the same people have been working there each time we have gone in over last few years.

Install is always fast and the balance has been very good.

I've been a fan of the Wal-Mart exclusive Douglas tires for years now. A few years back, Dad's girlfriend needed a set of tires for her higher mileage Town and Country. Timing was just right and Wal-Mart was clearing out the older 50,000 mile Douglas "All-Season" model, and got them for $65 each.

These tires are made in the US by Goodyear owned Kelly Springfield. It is nice to have a cheaper option, that isn't made overseas.

LIberty/KC North location. I-35 Exit 16 My counter person was Chelsea.. A nice young lady who knew her stuff and took good care of us. No the rears were at 9/32nd and only a year old.

I absolutely loath both Walmart and Costco and avoid both unless desperate last resort shopping. After witnessing a car jacking and thieves almost knocking me over I have not been back since.

Now that Americas tire has alignment services I go with them. I make an appointment and I'm in/out in less than a hour and they price match. Not to mention I get siping at no extra cost. Also thousands of locations to get tires repaired and back on the road.

I'm sorry for your Walmart experience. Maybe go to a different area store. It's not Walmarts fault that the community is not being policed properly.

Always heard good things about Douglas tires.

Only bad experience I had with walmart tire center recently was they forgot to pull the old weights off the wheels for our Nissan. So it has 2 sets of weights.

My last 2 tire purchases were at Walmart. Purchased online and scheduled installation. I was in and out in less than an hour both times.
l got Nokian tires in size 225/55/19 for $135 each sold and shipped by Walmart 3 years ago. They were $200+ everywhere else. Tires still going strong with lots of tread remaining after 35k miles.

Very little locked at my local Walmart. If I go a higher crime area Walmart there are more items locked. Weird that they lock up a $19 beard trimmer in a large pkg but $39 Prevagen bottle is out ready to be lifted and pursed.

Sorry, I never looked . They were from DT and she got ripped off on a year ago. Around $400. . She went to DT to get a quote about a month ago for new front tires. She was quoted $551 for 2 house brand tires. Wasn't happy about this, as definitly she was seen as a easy mark.

I have gone through Walmart for the last two sets of tires that I have purchased. Both were bought online with a scheduled install date/time at a local store. Both have been fast and done properly. I have a BJ's membership and still prefer to use Walmart as in my area no one can beat the price for mounting/balancing and the road hazard warranty.
