Picked up a new Mazda 3

Perhaps they look a little darker today.

After 2 weeks of rattling around what to do new or used I decided to go with a lease and against my grain said I’d never be in a black vehicle. So unhappy with the vehicles these days I figured I’d go for a payment and see where life takes me in 3 years. Familiar with the Mazda brand had several in the past. This was out the door 1500 total out of pocket 260/month.

Makes me feel really good about my $210 down-$210/mo lease on my $55k Chevy Crew Cab Silverado.

Wow you done exceptionally well unless you’re withholding the full truth of $210 down plus the taxes. Never seen a bank + dealer ship give vehicles away unless there was a telephone pole once attached

As a quick 2 week update my biggest hate is the brake dust and lack of low end from the 8 speaker audio system. It has great mid range and treble just lacking mid bass. this new redesigned 8 speaker system removes the woofers from the doors and mounts them under the dash somewhere in the kick wells this is Mazdas idea of a quieter more refined cabin and less door rattling from bass hits. Not in love with the black but I tell myself 35 more payments I can hand it back. Otherwise a comfortable and confident cruiser.

Congrats on the car, very wise choice.
Thank you, In these tough times of vehicle pricing dealership gouging, crazy gadgetry, the lack of interest and desire for the current auto market this felt like the reasonable thing to do. I did not want to lease but I jumped the gun and took Carvana's offer on my Nissan I spent a few weeks browsing autos and nothing was hitting me. Needing reliable and basic transportation to get myself and the kiddos around going this route was the logical choice I still was able to bank 3/4 of what Carvana paid me including my all out of pocket I put down on the lease the payment is comfortable and the wife's off my back that I have safe and reliable transportation. With that said I am now on the hunt for a small 4 or 6 cyl pickup maybe even a wagon/van to knock around town with to do my handyman biz hoping that picks up in season and run back and forth to my part-time motel maintenance gig. I cringe pulling tools out of the new hatchback 😖

Congrats! Now that you've had it a few weeks, what are your impressions? I've been impressed with the current Mazda direction of their product line. My neighbor picked up a CX-5 a few months ago, ridden in it twice. Its a sweetie too.

It's just an economy car after driving 25 years not much impresses me its reliable transportation to say the least. I knew it was low on the test drive but didn't account for how low it actually is as a daily driver, reminds me when i had my mx-5 in my early 20s. I don't like the brake pedal feel, can't stand the amount of brake dust the pads emit, radio controls are awkward with no physical power button you could mute the radio but when you turn the vehicle off and restart the car the radio is back on. Has push button start but no keyless access on the door handles you must physically use the fob buttons to lock/unlock the vehicle. Would I return the vehicle tomorrow Yes but I can't and I really don't like the other options for vehicles on the market so 35 more payments I go.
