The owners of BMW wagons are a particular bunch, in my experience.

They search out these cars and will pay a premium and seek out these cars, usually because they are well to do, and might have owned more than 1 before. It's not a coincidence when you buy one of these.
AMG wagons and Audi RS6 Avant's are everywhere here.
This was my 1st modern M5 wagon spotting to date.

All I see are new cars in your neck o' woods. I may have seen a 71-72 510 sedan or two. I had a 71 coupe souped a bit. Not bad for a youth 1976-83. Sold (idiot!) and bought a 1984 VW Sirocco. Red. Wolfsberg. 1.8L FWD dog! But had leather and chicks liked it.
I had many Datsun Z-cars in my youth., '72 240's and '78 280's mainly.
Yes they were all better/faster than even the '88 16V Srirocco lol. Nice looking cars but pretty soulless those things.

Z-cars had a unique interior smell that I'll never forget. I'd like to have at least 3 of them back😔

It's a big tourist city so tons of rental cars and lots of new plastic bumping around, yes.

The stuff that comes out of the woodwork for cars & coffee, weekend cruises/fundraiser events is pretty impressive though.

I feel like 😒 commuting to and from work gas/braking with all the white/grey/red plasticine Teslas and their ilk.

Then I wake up early on the weekend and hit Spanish Banks for a meet and see all those beautiful cars and their wonderful, passionate owners, and my faith in humanity is restored😊 if only for a little while.

I had an early 80s sirocco in a champagne colour. Stunning quality Karmann coachwork, Nice Heidelberg FM radio/cassette that was stolen one night in Lowell, Mass. the first week I owned it.. Yep that engine had some low end torque but not steam on the highway - maybe hit 87 mph tops downhill !
