Which E-mail programs will allow you to put a photo in the body of an E-mail? Yahoo's beta photo thing almost works. I think Outlook Express does but it's asking me info I don't know in order to set it up.

How about Road Runner, G-Mail or others??

To avoid the attachment route dontcha' have to use/send e-mail using HTML vice text?

I know it can be done but unsure which e-mail agent to use.

I shun all HTML e-mail for security reasons. Got own e-mail critter set up for text only. Further security advice readily available on the Web.

just attach the photo as an attachment.

You can use any email program to send attachments.

Thanks but,
Attachment I understand but that's not what I'm asking. I want a photo to appear IN THE BODY of an E-mail. I'm asking which e-mail programs, other than outlook express, allow you to do that.

I've googled until my fingers hurt.......I can't find what I'm looking for. I've tried questions, keywords, etc. Guess I'm not wording things correctly.

What about Mozilla/Thunderbird?

But the thing is, whatever the required info that Outlook Express is asking you for, every other email client out there will ask you for exactly the same things - this is needed to properly configure it.

So maybe instead of looking for another email client, you should concentrate on finding your account info and giving it to Outlook Express. What exactly is it asking you for? Things like smtp and pop3 server addresses? You should be able to get this information from your service provider.

Thanks.... You are correct of course. I've been trying to go around the problem rather than obtain the correct information. Thanks to all who took the time to answer.

The simplest way is probably to open the image in your browser and then right-click and select copy. You can then paste the image in the body of the email message. You actually have to open the image to make this work. If you copy the filename and paste it in body, it will add it as an attachment. This method works with Outlook and Outlook Express and probably others, as long as you set your message type as HTML, not text.
