PH10575 C&P 7k

This filter was in service for about 7k miles with Rotella T4. It came off my work truck, 2022 International CV with L5P Duramax. This truck is a service truck for the CAT dealer I work for with a crane. Fully loaded with all my tools and 60gal of diesel it’s runs almost 20k lbs. It spends a lot of time on the highway going between 65-75 mph with long periods of idling. It also has a pto to run the crane, generator, and air compressor.

They have us use the OLM for intervals. They usually run between 6k-8k.

A FE10575 went on with Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40.

Looks decent. The fiber end caps look different and thicker now that Champ Labs is building them with the nylon Ecore center tube.

They weren’t hard either. They were attached well too, couldn’t pull them off really easily.

Well if they can handle a diesel work truck then my f150 that gets driven on the weekends shouldn’t be an issue. So much trash talk on these.

I am surprised also. I have used that same filter on gas applications and would think using it on a diesel would stress it but it seems to handle it well.

With regards to oil pressure, Diesels run lower PSI than gasoline engines. Quite a bit too. I have seen some down around 10PSI, depending on the engine and application.

Good to see very recently made filters like this to know what they are doing to them. Fram made by Champ is no longer the EG orange can of old in this part number.

Recently ran one of the new PH10575 and found the pleats at the join seam disbonded from the end cap.

It shouldn’t be this difficult to buy an oil filter. I guess in the old days no one was cutting them up and dissecting them on the internet.
