OP question: ideal oil filtering conditions, given the terms listed? as I understand it, in my OPINION, if this is a car engine you need different types of filters depending on vehicle age. A breakin filter to catch larger metallic debris at a given size range, we already have these they are the installed OEM ones. Later post breakin, a looser filter with volume thru put in mind seems better, for the extra hp and flow/cooling during this time of the engines life arc. After this wear starts in earnest and sludging of some level will occur in almost all engines so a filter better at coagulating stuff in oil is better. Also the metallic debris will start to pick up again, but now in a microscopic size, so media will need to address this. I do not have enough expertise to suggest any specific media or other engineering specs needed at any of these stages.
