This is a follow up to my other thread HERE where I C&P the factory Honda filter on our 25 Honda Pilot and found more metal debris than what I though was normal even for break in so I elected to pull this filter early(600 mile) and have a look. I was pleased to find zero visible metal in the pleats.

Here I already starting cutting the media out before I thought to take a pic.

Overall a very well constructed filter IMO, I'm impressed.

Another Pentius went back on(I had a 10 pack)

Looks good, thanks! Looks like they need to sharpen or replace their punch, some burrs and sharp edges are present it seems. Do the holes feel sharp?

Can't say I noticed to be honest and the filter is gone now.

The fancier they make center tubes the more likely there are problems. Just a straight tube with holes is all that is needed.

The side towards the media does look a bit ragged, but the media can't contact those holes because of the raised spiral ridge on the center tube.

Yep, I wasn't worried after what I saw with the first filter but happy to see this one completely "clean".
