I don't know. Pennzoil says 10.4, Oil Analyzers says 10.3 and Blackstone says 9.15

Blackstone may have measured at 120*C, who knows? Appears they don’t. They may not have even tested your sample for this report.

That people keep sending them $ and trusting their vehicles’ longterm health to Blackstone in the face of repeated blatant, simple errors floors me.

You are right, Blackstone 😡

I buy my oil by the 3 - 5 quart cases online. All of the oil is 0w-20 and I always make sure that is what is going in. Should I not be using Blackstone or should I use another oil? Thanks
I’ve got a long history with PUP prior to HPL joining the board and convincing me to switch. I’ve got no doubts the PUP itself is fine; I went 17.1k on PUP in an ‘11 Fusion 2.5.

nice to see the comparison...I know who I will be using for my next analysis and it don't start with a B.......

The short answer is yes, use a different oil analysis lab. Blackstone is more personable on their analysis write-ups than Polaris. People kind of like that more personal approach. Now, for a longer answer. I use Polaris labs with their corporate headquarters in Indianapolis IN. They have labs around the world, however. They have a decent accuracy record. They also have more actual industry testing certifications and keep them updated. Keep in mind, I am not an inspector, this is just stuff about Polaris and Blackstone I have read. I order directly from Polaris by the 10 pack, ordered two 10 packs last time. I have my own account with Polaris which I started 30-40 years ago when I had my own trucking business. The shipping price for the kits is ridicules, however. Make sure whichever way you send your oil sample back to them for analysis, you get a tracking number. I use FedEx ground myself. If it goes out here on Monday, it is checked in at Polaris in Indy on Wednesday AM. If it goes out on Monday with a tracking number by US Postal Service, it will have a projected delivery date on the receipt of Thursday that same week and get delivered to Polaris 3 to 6 weeks after the date it is mailed. You will get an e-mail from Polaris telling your sample is checked in. Usually, if the sample is checked in say Monday morning, you will have an e-mail by 9:00 PM on Wednesday with your results. Keep in mind, they don't work Saturday, Sunday, or holidays. Amsoil uses Polaris labs for their analysis. It is called "Oil Analyzers". If you sign up and register with Amsoil you can buy their kits online for a reasonable price, last I looked. We have a Bitog sponsor here that goes by @Pablo. Pablo sells Amsoil. He may be able to set you up. Otherwise, if you have a Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Shop around where you live, go into their parts desk and they usually have kits in stock they will sell you. Cat used to have decent fluid analysis, and probably still do, but it has been 30 years since I used them.
Oh, a little more, there are different options when you buy the kits from Polaris. I have my account set up where the TBN and TAN number is tested. I pay a little extra for that. Their standard kits don't include TBN or TAN. I am responsible for my own shipping back to them. They may sell kits with pre-paid mailers, I don't know. Polaris has a nice customer service dept that actually answers their phone. Their phone is: 317-808-3750 https://polarislabs.com
