Looks like a pretty well built jobber filter. I saw a similar one opened up on Crazy Bill’s Garage on YT. Looks exactly the same as the Parts Plus filters I can get around me. PG made, in Vietnam no less. If I was going to open a quick change shop, these would be in the run for my filter of choice, along with every other PG filter 😂.

Great pictures as always, thanks!

I'd be amazed if far higher quality pg made filters are cheaper than oh mann a hummel : ( filters are in bulk for these companies.
A lot of PG type filters being made in places like Vietnam or China keeps prices lower I would think anyways. M+H made those Pennzoil filters that as far as I saw were basically re-branded Purolators being made in the USA mostly. Think it had a lot to do with cost going up during 19 that drove a lot of businesses to seek lower costs elsewhere. Also, Purolator can afford to increase costs & PG being sort of the new kid on the block for big business. I suppose I can also speculate that during that time USA was locked down so some of these companies would need to seek other countries for supplies. I think it's safe to say it could be a combination of forces happening that prompted them to change. (y)

Just dug up a 5 year old YT that shows the Pennzoil filters were Purolators back then. Definitely not now. Hard to say if these are under PGI, or like Highline Warren, some other middle man goes to these Asian factories for production. No silicone ADBV or base gasket, and not "Leak Check" markings.

I have a new PZ-37 just from Amazon here from 10/23
says made in China but looks just like the one here. Says 97% + at 20 microns
