it sounds like you are describing an API SM-style jug. small hole... taller... the sn jugs here in the states have a slant and a bigger mouth.

...not to mention my fancy cut vinegar jug (though I sometimes think this is all just a "4/1 thread"...'cept people have trouble pouring milk from Costco milk jugs!)

Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention between the SM or SN PU and PP jugs; I assumed they were same molding just a different color.
