On this new to me 2005 grandcherokee with the 3.7 engine at 49k on it.I did first oil change my self with penn platinum 5w30 with a motorcraft oil filter.My question is for how long to run this oil filter combo since its as far as i know the first time using full synthetic. tks

I run the pp in my jeep 3.7 liberty with a napa gold filter and change every 6 months, or about every 5,ooo miles. I am pretty sure I can go longer, but like to change before and after winter...
6 to 8k miles or 6 months, whichever comes first

Then again, I don't listen to my own advice. I am going to take out the first run of PP a little earlier (probably around 4-5k) so I can get fresh PP, with less leftover dino oil, in there for the winter cold.

I use 7500 mile oil changes for my mom's Jeep GC, and I use PZ Platinum or QS Torque Power.
Ok thanks for the comments,i guess ill do my first change at 5k and send it to have it tested make sure everything its ok
