For those of you using an extractor (especially a Pela), have you been able to extract, quantity-wise, what you expected to extract?
I ask because I ran my Troy Bilt mower for about 25 minutes today to finish off the gasoline that remained in the tank. After it ran dry, I let it sit for about five minutes before I used the Pela to extract the oil.
With a capacity of 20 ounces from a "dry fill," I was only able to remove 9-10 ounces.
I ask the question not out of concern for the B&S OHV engine and the Amsoil that remains in the engine, but more so out of concern as to whether the Pela will remove all of the available fluid from the transmission of my 2005 Accord V6 (should be about 3 quarts) and the transmission and diffs on my 2005 Highlander.
How much did I "pump it?" I hit the pump about 20-25 times, which should have created enough vacuum for it to suck a golf ball through 20 feet of garden hose.
Are you extractor users getting what you counted on when you change out your diffs, transmissions, and/or crankcases?
