PCV valve on 95 3.8 GM

Hi Guys,
Where is the PCV valve located on a 3.8 GM engine? I have been getting crappy mileage lately (12-13 L/100 km vs 9-10 before) and I know that the PCV valve was changed about 3 yrs ago at the Gyp-Me Lube. Plugs, wires, fuel filter were changed this summer, so those should not be the problem. My previous mechanical experience was on older, non computerized engines

, but these new, sideways ones a little confusing.
Advice, tips, clues welcome.

It is located under the MAP sensor. If you do a search in this forum, you'll find instructions, because I asked this very question about 10 months ago.

Thanks a whole bunch for the info. On older autos it was easy....just look on the valve cover. No hassle. Now it is going to be a bit of a chore. Ah, progress.

Whats really the point on replacing a PCV valve unless it isnt working right or is gunked up.

My 98 S-10 4.3L v6 has its original PCV valve. I pulled iit out and felt its operation to see if I should change it. Worked totally fine. Was clean as could be too, looked like new. Ive had the truck since day 1 and 8 miles, and I know it wasnt replaced.

So, are you sure that you need it?

Not sure if it needs replacing or not. However, it is as good a place as any to start. It's going to be a process of elimination, but i'm really curious about the recent drop in fuel economy.? winter gas formulation ??? It does not seem to have lost any power and there is no evidence of gas leaks or gas in the oil (smell test)
