I was wondering why some engines catch a considerable more oil in a catch can installed between the PCV system? From what I have seen in person, a 5.3l GM seems to catch quite a bit more oil than a 3.5l EcoBoost. My personal 5.7l Hemi seems to be somewhere in-between at similar intervals. I have a 3.5l Honda engine with 212k and it catches no where near as much oil and any of those others listed. Is it a blow-by thing? PCV system design, or even engine design?
