I just got the two 80mm PC Power & Cooling Silencer fans I ordered, and I replaced the one noisy fan that was in my tower case with them..they really are much quieter. I can barely hear the computer now.

The old fan did move more air, but apparently two cooling fans are working better than one since the hard drive temperatures as reported by HDD Health are down a couple of degrees. (The case has a place for a fan in the side panel, so I installed one there blowing out, along with replacing the existing one in the back panel).

Do you mean having 2 fans in serial? that won't do anything to air flow, but will help with air pressure.

If you are talking about 2 fans in parallel? Yes, that helps alot.

My favorite fan is Panasonic Panaflow, very silent and good quality, but cannot be found for cheap in retail (very easy for mail order though), in retail that I can find in Fry's, my favorite is Vantec Stealth, 2 ball bearing with very low rpm, but flow sufficient for non-overclocking computer.

Yes, they're in parallel, so I have three fans (including the power supply) in parallel blowing out from this tower case.

It's pulling a decent amount of air through the front and over the hard drives. Enough to draw a lighter flame towards it.

The only thing is that the Silencer fans don't have very long power cables, so getting the one in the side panel connected was a bit of a challenge.
