Paint Protection Film aka "Clear Bra"

I wish I had done it. The front of my Golf has been blasted with sand, from following gravel trucks and Redimix trucks, and there is no cheap way to make it beautiful again. A lot of the damage was done during one trip from Tulsa to Albuquerque, fighting a headwind all the way.

I don't care how much the car cost when new; the key factor is how long you plan to keep it. But even if you intend to sell or trade in after five years, if it looks better it will sell for a higher price.

I don't think Tony quite gets what salt trucks w/antiskid do to the roads in the Northeast.

The hood of our previa is the worst for getting sand blasted.

Yes, I was just merging onto the freeway in the Lincoln Mark VIII. Going about 65 mph, and the pickup in front of me flings a huge pebble back toward me. It was big enough to easily see as it was approaching! It landed dead center on the windshield, it would have hit me in the nose if no windshield were there........... AND, absolutely no damage! I was shocked! Then I thought, how this windshield is steeply raked, that large pebble was simply "fouled back" (think baseball).

The only bad thing is that whoever was behind me probably got it.
