I just got a really great price on a quart of Valvoline MaxLife Power Steering Fluid with Stop Leak (http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/valvo...vv335/7080052-P) to be used in an early 2000s Dodge pickup truck with ~110,000 miles on it. To the best of my knowledge, the P/S fluid in the truck has never been changed. The power steering is working well with no leaks present.
Are there any issues using a P/S fluid with stop leak in a vehicle with no leak? I tried to search for this topic, but didn't see any real consensus opinion. I wouldn't think it would cause any issues, but I thought I'd poll the wisdom of BITOG before I break out the vacuum extractor and do the fluid change. Thank you for any help in advance!
