Hi, I've just changed the oxygen sensor in my 99 Chevy S10. It was the original sensor with around 120k miles and I notice it has a white hard deposit in one side of the sensor. Anyone knows what that can be or if it means something?

Had you recently used any fuel injector cleaners, or any other fuel system or oil additives? Does it burn oil? Lose coolant? Which sensor was this?
It is the pre-cat sensor.
I've not used injector cleaners in a while (my guess is in 20k miles).
The truck doesn't burn oil, at least not noticeable. It uses around half a quart every 3k miles.
I check the coolant regularly and I don't notice a significant drop in the level.

Even before the picture loads on my dial up, I can tell you this is normal.

Absolutely normal. Some more, some less.
But at 120k it does not even warrant a yawn.

Good to know that it is normal. I saw other photos of used O2 sensors on the web and they looked different, that's why I needed to ask.
A question about your comment: what does "warrant a yawn" means? English isn't my first language, and I couldn't understand that expression.

You see, I'm actually saying both... "you take awesome pics" and "cool camera".
Like Tom Slick explained very well, this situation is so boring and normal that even a tired yawn is not going to happen.
