Is it physically impossible to keep a cars paint job looking nice. The other day I felt my cars roof, hood, and trunk and it's already rough with over 22,000 miles on it. I use the best waxes I can and it still does not do the job. Any tips would be great, maybe I should leave it in the garage more thanks.

That will work!

But seriously, I just did Optimum Coat 2.0 on one of my cars, and hopefully it will last a few years. $70 for 3 cars is not bad.

Now, if you say oxidation, do you mean old fashioned single stage paint without clear coat? What car?

It is a 2011 hyundai Sonata yes without the clear coat. That is a good deal for a wax that will last years.

Spend your money on the synthetic sealants. The sealants (Wolfgang, Klasse, etc) give you the look of wax but much more durability and resiliency.

I've used Klasse for years and it always holds up for a good 4-6 months, even during the hot summer when wax would normally "melt" quickly.

If its single stage it could be oxidation. A good polish or cleaner wax will help. If its not single stage it might need a good clanging. Might be bonded contaminates and not oxidation.

Sounds like your car needs a good clay job. Then finish it off with a sealant (like a wax but lasts longer); I like Rejex.

It is past due for clay. Many cars, if not most, need it the day they drive off the lot. You can buy million dollar wax and it won't keep the paint from becoming contaminated. Wash, clay, polish, protect.
