All, I need your help. I would like to know which over sized filter I can use on my 2004 Tahoe 5.3 liter motor? I used to use them on my Durango and would like keep up the practice on my Tahoe. Thanks in advance!

Look up your current filter data on Wix, then go over to Donaldson's site, and you can do an atribute search with as much or little data as you wish. You can narrow down your choices as desired. Plent of info out there ...

Be VERY careful not to select something with an improper choice for bypass valve value, or such. As long as the values are close, it's usually OK. Issues that can have a small bit of leeway are: gasket sizes, burst pressures, beta ratios, etc they'll work just fine, and do not need to be exact.

Ahh OK. Thanks for the info. Will this be for Donaldson filters only? I do not know where to buy those around here since I have never seen any anywhere.
Look up the filter for the 2002 model of your Tahoe. The 2002 GM 5.3L engines all came with the oversized filter... they started using the smaller version of the filter in 2003, but the 'oversized' filters work great on 2003-2005 and some 2006 5.3s.
I've been using the oversized filter on my 2003 Silverado 5.3 for 7+ years and 165k+ miles...
Also, you don't have to worry about the bypass valve on these filters... the bypass on the 5.3s is on the block, not in the filter.

Yes, Wix 51522 is what I use on my friends '02 Tahoe 5.3L for an oversize filter.

What AC Delco part number does GM state in your owners manual? Then finding a longer one with same diameter is an easier task.
What year and engine in that Durango?
