Over filled by 2 quarts

I have a 2018 F150 with a ten speed transmission dealer over filled by 2 quarts. I drove 160 miles before it gave me problems.
The last 140 miles was towing 3300lb boat and trailer. On the trip to the lake shifted normal on the way home started high revving between 8th and 9th when shifting, did this maybe 4 or 5 times with a clunk when shifted, before I pulled over to check. It was spewing out over
flow.
It was there for a fluid change should I flush again and should I be worried about longevity and damage?

All you can really do now is drop the pan and take a look at your fluid. The overfill caused foaming and clutches were getting air with their fluid, causing the weird shifting. This may have produced some burned fluid, maybe even some clutch material at the bottom of the pan or in the filter, or it may not. These things also have sensitive valve bodies (I've owned 3 2018 Mustangs with problem valve bodies) so that's another potential issue. Dump it, might as well switch the filter while you're in there, fill it appropriately, and drive it. That will be your tell. There could be long-term damage to clutches but it's really not economically feasible to tear it down just to see. The tear down starts if it still acts up after being filled properly.

They're probably going to want you to bring it in and let them handle it. I'm not sure you should touch it.

Another dealer horror story. I'd be back at the dealer taking it up with their management. Odds are they'll correct the level and then tell you a bull story that no damage was done. I'd be fighting for a warranty on that transmission. Good luck, you'll probably get nowhere with them, but I would be fighting hard.

Dealer has it they said color is good not burnt so I guess at this point when I pick it up I'll make sure service ticket says over filled was the problem.

Yeah, I would demand a very very extended warranty, or new transmission. Foaming oil is no good for any transmission and that one has enough problems already.
If you brought it in, with a problem and it was overfilled two quarts, during the powertrain warranty, they would certainly deny fixing it under warranty, so clearly they consider overfilling a problem.

2 quarts is a lot for any transmission........
I'd call Ford if they don't give you a transmission warranty extension...

Yeap, make sure to involve the GM and the service manager. Push for an aftermarket warranty that is properly documented against the vehicle and the OP as the owner 'cause if they just give you a verbal 'agreement' to take care of anything in the future, well, that's not worth much ! With the aftermarket warranty, they will be able to discretely be on the OP's side for getting it approved for repair too.

Service manager told me, I think on service ticket it says how much by the quart I got charged.

Got it back today could not get extended warranty but have it on service ticket they overfilled by 2 quarts, it shifted fine so time will tell and thank you for all the responses.
