Just noticed today that they came out with a Oreilly/Murray brand full synthetic, anyone know who makes their oil? Just curious.

I saw it in the store today and didn't think to look at the bottle for a manufacturer/date stamp. In my memory it looks like it might use the same mold as the Castrol Edge bottle, but it's silver (platinum??) rather than gold.

I use O'Reilly conventional 5w30 and 10w30 occasionally and have never been able to tell from the bottle who makes it for them. Although it shears out of grade (like most energy conserving oils), it does offer excellent wear protection.

Yeah! I also heard my local also say, "their is absolutely no difference between Castrol High Mileage and Castrol GTX"

I bouught 10 qts of their synthetic and its seems to be made by Omni Packaging.

If you read omni packaging/o'rilleys website about the oil, they reference the base oils coming from Shell/exxon mobil with a librizol add pack. Go to the FAQ section as well as the product info section.

I picked up 10 qts and 2 Mobil filters, $37 with tax. That's hard to beat, especially when the Mobil 1 filters alone are $12.99... I'll probably go pick up 2 more deals tomorrow.

Changed the oil in my car a few days ago with the orilley's 5w-20 synthetic I picked up, car seems to like it just fine. Going to run it for 4-5K( warranty requirements).

That's my other question for you guys. Severe service lists oil changes every 3750 miles for my car ( 07 hyundai elantra). Regular service lists every 7K, because of this, couldn't I just run the syn to 7K and still meet requirements? I drive 90 miles RT all highway each day for work, doesn't sound too severe to me..?

I stocked up on 10 quarts for my Ranger, I blame this website for my recent accumulation of oil. I wonder if I can trust this stuff in my Mustang GT, it's hard to pass up this deal.
