I will drain the old oil in my 1996 White Jeep Cherokees 249,575 mile 4.0 today, take off the old oil filter(SuperTech ST16), spin on a New SuperTech ST8(OverSize for a 4.0)and Refill with 5 Quarts OReillys SN 10w30 Full Synthetic. Problem is I Need 1 more quart to fill her 6 quart sump. I have 1 spare quart of SuperTech Full Synthetic 10w30 SM, 2 quarts of SuperTech Full Synthetic 5w30, or another 1 quart of Pennzoil Platinum 10w30 SM. Which oil should I Add to the 5 Quarts of OReillys?

They are both 'low-tier' synthetics and filter....shouldn't be a problem.

What will be your OCI ?

Now that WM is carrying Purolator filters...why don't you move up a little better filter?

Of those I'd pick the SuperTech 10w30, there's a good chance it came from the same place.

Thanks for Your recommendations. I had I read that OReillys is made by WPP, and I knew that SuperTech is made by WPP(at least here in Washington St), so I figured using the 1 quart of SuperTech 10w30 Full Synthetic with the 5 quarts of OReillys 10w30 Full Synthetic would be best, and thats what I did. The SuperTech ST8A oil filter was bought a few months ago, when i didnt even know that WalMart was getting PuroLator filters. Here in Wenatchee, WA our WalMart is a bit slow to get new stuff,..I havent seen yet, but think its a great Idea. I have gone to our local Bi-Mart to get Purolator oil and air filters in years past. Remember the Blue colered PureOne oil filters? I still have a few of them for a Subaru...

What's your the definition of a "low-tier" synthetic oil?

What makes up a "low-tier" synthetic oil, in your mind, besides costing less than brand name, high priced synthetic oil?

Thanks I'm sure we would all like to know how you give these oils their distinct classification.

O'Reillys oil is made by a company called Omni, in Shreveport.

Not sure why everyone keeps saying it's made by WPP.
