That is not a problem at all 
Unless you purchased them from a place like BigO who loves stacking new tire inventory outside in the sun and weather. those tires are not out of line date wise. I have to say that any tires I have ever purchased from Costco were never more than 5 months old. They have incredible turn over in their national distribution network I would guess.
Where did you buy from and what tire?
I would keep them if you got a good deal
