Arrghhh...not sure if I read it or was told by someone that just bought one. Call a dealer and see what they say.

On another note, had a good conversation with the company today regarding all this talk we have had here.

I might be mistaken. Maybe Opti 2 will double the warranty. If Husky gives 1 yr, Opti 2 will give you another year. That is what the Husky dealer here just told me anyways.

I've seen that before with other engines. I believe Opti-2 is providing the warranty, not the engine manufacturer.

If you are having problems with some oils mixing with your gas you might want to try this. Go to Walmart and look in their boating department for a mixing bottle, it is a Clear plastic bottle about a pint or so and has all the mixing ratios on the side so that you can easily see how much oil you need to use to the gallon. Now this is the best part, choose your mix ratio add your oil to the bottle then add some gas from your can, put the lid on and shake to get it to mix well. Then dump it all back in to your gas can and give it a little shake to mix it in with the rest of the gas. You will be sure to get a good mixing with your gas in all weather and you can see if it doesn't mix before putting it in the gas can. Another feature of the mix bottle is that you can put the cap on and keep it clean for the next time.

Yes, the proper way to mix any oil/gas combo is to put a little gas in the jug and mix it well...then put in the remainder of the gas.

Putting you oil in and then dumping all the gas in does not assure a great mix. After all, oil will tend to stick to the bottom of the jug when you put it in.
