One of those weeks

Having a not-so-good week. My Sister backed down on selling me her 06 Bimmer 330Ci. She wants to keep it, since it is a convertible and is almost paid off. I can live with out it.

Went to pickup my new Stihl BG-55 leaf blower from the dealer that I have been trading with since I had my lawn service in the early 90's. Okay, I go in and they hand me the invoice of $219!!! Yikes, the MSRP is only 149. 25 "get ready" fee. I ask what did they do, besides take it out of the box. They say we fired it up, tuned it, etc. Fine. I unscrew the fuel cap and it is bone dry and there is no fuel in the primer bulb. I confronted the owner about it and said You just lost a loyal customer! The other charges were "shop fees, oil mix, etc."

I was PO'd. Went down to Lowes and looked at the Husky 125B. Nice unit and will suit me well. Has Echo features, Throttle "cruise" control. Has two nozzles (fan and straight), intake away from me, etc. for the same retail price of the Stihl. Even has the same CFM and air speed.

Just venting.....

Unfortunately, there's nothing that runs as well or lasts as long as a Stihl-I would have taken it a step farther and notified the Stihl factory if it was me!

I am drafting a letter/email to Sthil this week. Found out the shop/dealer was sold out about 6 months ago to a new proprietor.

Still have my Stihl 170 chainsaw that keeps on going, year after year.

Will I buy Stihl again? Yes, but I need to find a better dealer. The Husky will do for my light usage. Will be in the market for a string trimmer soon (will see a lot more use than the blower) and will drive/make calls for a Stihl unit. I like the bicycle bars...

Car dealer try to get us to pay for
'dealer prep'.
They get it if they can.
But this is really low... the defecation matter coming out of the posterior of a chicken!

bad week? sounds pretty good to me. try having the accountants tell you half the office's staff are going to be sacked int he next month. FWIW... some perspective.

I'm still looking for work since September and have had 3 possible jobs yanked out from under me.

Hoping things will get better.
